Family sedans can be quite spacious, and the new Nissan Altima just so happens to accommodate the needs of a diverse range of drivers. This midsize sedan is alluring in the looks department, and it's primed to provide an exhilarating drive. There have been a few transitions since its last update. For 2021, the VC-Turbo engine is available for the SR trim. The Platinum trim no longer has the brand's 2.0-liter variable-compression engine. Nissan now offers its SV Premium Package loaded with prime features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control and a leather shifter. ProPilot Assist is also offered with this package.

Expectations

The 2021 Nissan Altima is expected to excel in many departments. First and foremost, this is an all-season sedan thanks to its Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system. Drivers will get plenty of traction on slippery roads, snowy highways, and the like. Front-wheel drive is also available, and front-wheel drive models should provide an estimated 31 mpg on the highway. Efficiency goes the distance as you can orchestrate your own symphony via the car's paddle-mounted shifters. Every drive will be special thanks to precise-steering tuning and a sport-tuned suspension.

Its user-friendly cabin has controls that are conveniently located. There's a glass moonroof that's equipped with power-slide capability. The new Altima goes even further by offering 60/40 split-fold rear seats. Heated-front seats, Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, and a heated steering wheel are all available. Up to six carry-on bags can fit in the vehicle's trunk. Wood-tone trim and chrome-matte finishes can also be found in the cabin, which seats five people. Other included features are:

  • Door-To-Door Navigation
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Bose Audio
  • Eight-Inch Touchscreen Display
  • Bluetooth Connectivity
