The Takata airbag recall is affecting millions of vehicles across nearly two dozen motor vehicle brands, including some Nissan vehicles. Below, you will find everything you need to know about the recall; which Nissan makes and models are affected, and what you will need to do if your vehicle is on the list.

The inflator and propellant devices may deploy incorrectly during a crash.

Nissan Makes and Model Years Affected

  • 2001-2003 Nissan Maxima
  • 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinder
  • 2002-2006 Nissan Sentra
  • 2007-2012 Nissan Versa

Your Vehicle is on this list. Now what?

You will need to run your VIN to determine if there is, or isn't, a recall on your vehicle. You can do this online or you can give us a call and we will gladly help.

To run your VIN online, you will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You can find this:

  • in the bottom corner of the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle
  • inside the doorjamb of your driver's side door or
  • on your vehicle's registration document

Once you have located your VIN, visit safercar.gov and enter your VIN. This will help you determine whether or not there is a recall on your vehicle.
